Lessons from 20s to bring to 30s:

Let go of perfection, Embrace the process; Forcing it does not work but, Give your best and put your heart and head to it, If it's meant to happen it will happen; Ups and downs are natural, There is always light at the end of tunnel, Take time to grieve and come out with boldness and strength; Stop doubting yourself and your work, Never let anyone underestimate you or take you for granted; Be generous but have boundaries, Take counsel but do not let another person to hold the reins of your life; Love is much bigger than relationships, Be kind to people without being judgmental; Be okay to let go many times to heal, Letting go does not exhibit weakness, but needs courage; Emotional maturity makes a difference, Forgive, forget and learn from your mistakes; Running away from your emotions does not help, Fall seven times rise up eight; Beauty is abundant but connection is unique, Don't settle for shallow, but create deeper bonds with people. - Publo and PJay

Rekindle and Rejoice

Image
It's a Sunday evening in my part of the world and I am just starting to write a blog after hearing a sermon preached by Mark Hughes, Lead Pastor of Church of the Rock. I pondered much about this whole ' RE-CALIBRATE ' topic and how much I wanted to dodge the fact that it was talking to me but I could not. Instead I was consumed by the four bullet points he talked about, which are as below: Re-Joice in the Lord Re-Connect with your relationships Re-Engage in your mission(s) Re-Imagine your future For many of us living in times of uncertainties, where  new restrictions  are shoved in our faces every couple of weeks, constant fluctuations on the number of active cases curve, watching Federal & Provincial governments battle each other and health officials giving us mixed cues about cross vaccinations and even which vaccines are fully acceptable. Then there is all the conflict among many civilians, those who are anti-mask vs those who pro-masks, those that are an...

Reflection during COVID times

Image
Well, I was wondering if I should title my new blog as COVID times or "END TIMES", as many would like to call it. Honestly, I do not feel that it is still the end. I believe so, because the Word of God is yet to be preached in many tribes of the world. Hence, the point is, it is not yet THE TIME because Bible clearly says in  Matthew Chapter 24 , as below: Signs of the End of the Age ... 3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6 An d you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various plac...

Christianity and Halloween

Image
A Christian should celebrate Halloween? Take your call on the basis of Bible while it's an absolute no for me, personally! "What are the origins of Halloween? Whatever the history and origins of Halloween, Halloween is celebrated in many different ways by all sorts of people around the world. Traditionally, it was known as All Hallows’ Eve, when the dead were remembered. Over time, it became cultural. For Americans, it has become extremely commercialized. We begin to see Halloween decorations in the stores several months in advance. Unfortunately, the emphasis on this commercialized holiday has shifted from innocent costumes to a much more evil and pointed attraction to all things hideous and pagan. Satan has undoubtedly made this commercialized holiday into something that has subtly focused on the ugly and demonic. What are the origins of Halloween? Many believe the festival of Samhain to have been the beginning of the Celtic year. At Samhain, farmers brou...

Here's to Good Times

Image
Hey buddy, While I get along with most of the people, with you was an unusual one. When I say that, it's definitely an altered one, in the best way plausible. Be it venting out about a ridiculously tight deadline or to share a cup of morning extra ‘kadak chai’ with ‘cum cheeni’, you and me have been constant.  You had set a bar of 'oh so high standard salt and pepper' and there has been nothing more fun but to downgrade it to 'oh so cheesy bald and varisht nagarik'(:P). I hope and pray that you find your special someone again, now that the smoking pot has left the arena *evil laughter*.   It's hard to say that I am not going to miss the stupid jokes and laughter (annoying others and you annoying me), checking out all the food outlets and eating like we are always starved, buying non-essential stationary although it's the end of the month and we have holes in our pockets, and of course healthy gossiping (wink). I am grateful to you for bearing up with me dur...

I am a Christian

Image
When I say "I am a Christian"  I'm not shouting "I am saved."  I'm whispering "I get lost"  That is why I chose this way. When I say "I am a Christian"  I don't speak of this with pride.  I'm confessing that I stumble  And need someone to be my guide. When I say "I am a Christian"  I'm not trying to be strong.  I'm professing that I am weak  And pray for strength to carry on. When I say "I am a Christian"  I'm not bragging of success.  I'm admitting I have failed  And cannot ever pay the debt. When I say "I am a Christian"  I'm not claiming to be perfect.  My flaws are too visible  But God believes I'm worth it. When I say "I am a Christian"  I still feel the sting of pain.  I have my share of heartaches  Which is why I seek HIS name. When I say "I am a Christian"  I do not wish to jud...

Shepherd's Psalm For All Couples

Image
1. The Lord is my wedlock's shepherd;  it shall not get divorced. 2. He makes my marriage to rest on green pastures; He leads it beside the still waters. 3. He restores the newness of my marriage; Because of His name, He maintains the righteousness in my marriage. 4. Though my marriage passes through the sea of thunder-clouds and stormy winds, I will not fear, for You are with my marriage to steer it on course to calm waters. 5. You make my marriage honourable among the people; You anoint it with Your Spirit's glory and beauty;  My marriage's blessings' overflow. 6. Surely goodness and mercy shall be in my marriage through out all the days, And my marriage will flourish in God's presence forever.  - Anonymous

God's Amazing Care

Image
If you have ever observed an egg closely, you will note that it has one small and a large ending. The shell is thicker on the smaller end than that on the larger end. In case if you have been fortunate enough to see a egg hatch, you will notice that the baby chick emerges from the shell through the larger end. God has designed and arranged the shell in such a manner that the baby can easily peck its way through at the the point where the shell is thin. The shell is engineered such that there exists an air chamber at the larger end of the shell. This can be observed when the shell is removed from the hard boiled egg. When the baby chick is formed in the egg, it is so placed that its head is in the big end of the egg and its bill is in the air chamber.  No matter how the mother hen may turn the egg during the three weeks of the hatching period, the position of the chick within the shell does not change. The baby will always be formed with its nose in the air chambe...

Proclaiming the Good News

Image
Matthew 18:14 says, " Even so it is not the will of your father which is in heaven, that one of these little one should perish." There is a story, that goes out like this... Once, there was a man who along with his son, used to go out and distribute tracts after every Sunday service. On one of those days, it was heavily raining and the father was a bit hesitant to go out. However, the son asked the father, "Papa, aren't people still in the wrong tracks out there, although it's raining?". The son was eager to go on that day as well, and he went out with his usual distribution of tracts. The son went out and distributed all the tracts, except for one.  The boy was completely drenched in the rain, but still, he knocked on the door of the house where he took shelter. After knocking on the door thrice, there came an old lady on the door who looked quite grieved and irritated.  The next Sunday, while in the service, there stood up the same ...

Relentless Love

Image
When the breezy wind sweeps in, when His presence could be felt Wails and laments no longer exists Caressing her hair, soothing her cheeks She feels His love is relentless She knows He is watching over her From above and beyond Heaven is His crown and earth His footstool His glorious deeds spread over all the world Grace and mercy overflowing Rocks in the wilderness gushing out Streams of joy and happiness His love is relentless She falls down, He picks her up She stumbles, He holds her high More than her companions Anointing her with glory and gladness His love is relentless. - PeeJay

The Green Pasture

Image
There lies a green pasture, overflowing with the streams of love Mercy and kindness endureth forever, in his arms He will shield me. He took me out of the miry clay, molded me into a vessel With the Holy spirit, my cup runneth over. A moment of sorrow deep down, overcome by the ray of hope He fills me with Unraveling mysteries day by day adding blend of compassion everyday. And there lies a green pasture, which passeth a man's understanding. Prepared for the righteous and meek, for the endeavor I have to undertake.                                              - PeeJay

Trust No One

Image
Sat by the same bench were two friends, One Chirpy and the other Lively. Gelling up like bread and cheese, Kept on jabbering and never stopped. Everyday they had much more to talk, Time flew and days passed by, The bond each day getting stronger. A moonlit day and the lively falls for, A guitarist she had dreamt of. Building castles in the air, Thought of living happily ever after. Catastrophe hits and the dreams shatter, Strings of Lively and guitarist no longer attached. Exuberance  lost and taking solace in Chirpy, Lively gathered herself from pieces. Just beginning to stand up, Feet firm on the ground, And the catastrophe hits yet again. Finds about the wrong friend she, Had been with all this while.  The broken trust and promises,  Pricked hard like a needle. This time Lively stood strong, Not to be broken by the unfaithfulness. Killing her inside, but she chose To be not bound by the shackles of the world. Tr...

The Lost Opportunity

Image
It was 8:00 pm, September 19, 2016 and my friend suddenly texted, "Are you coming? Iam leaving now". Looking at the message, my vision got suddenly blurred and realized how much I hate surprises. The text was in context to the convocation of the 2015 graduated batch of Allahabad Agricultural Institute, to be held the very next morning.  Halfheartedly, I had decided that I would not be attending the event because of certain reasons which stopped me then. But, somewhere deep inside the heart (the other half), wanted to go and relive the memories of 2 years. I had made an extended family for myself in that two years of my stay in Allahabad. Also, I realized not everyone we come across will take us for granted but, the genuineness still exists. The handful bunch of people I had come across there, are one gems (not exaggerating for the blog :P). So, go get the degree was secondary and spending time and having a gala with these gems was primary. But, things don't come...

The Word Fast

Image
Is it hard for you to today envision changing your habitual judgments that you throw on somebody you met for the first time?  A book that I read, "Blink" written by Malcolm Gladwell beautifully describes how we tend to size up the nature of a person or for that matter form an impression inside our mind, the first time we see them. I have always had this perception that we need to spend time with people to know them closely and understand their true nature. Even then, we sometimes go wrong in bringing out the best or true colors of them.  Getting rid of being judgmental and opinionated is crucial in order to eliminate 'the pointing of finger at anybody (when we are actually NOBODY ) or a malicious talk'. We can actually taint someone's character with our words and character assassination is never recommended in any sphere of our lives. If we sit and introspect, we would realize the sheer amount of time that we wasted on badmouthing someone. Remember ...

I Asked God

Image
"I asked God for Strength... And God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked God for Wisdom... And God gave me problems to solve. I asked God for Prosperity... And God gave me a Brain and Brawn to work. I asked God for Courage... And God gave me obstacles to overcome. I asked God for Love... And God gave me troubled people to help. I asked God for Favours... And God gave me Opportunities. I received nothing I wanted... But, I received everything i needed Live life without fear, confront all obstacles and convince that you can overcome them!" With my first post i thought of inducing some motivation and courage in the hearts of people who are reading my blog. This is not my own work but has been taken from the pages of an Old diary (of my sister's).  Happy Reading Everyone.  Much Love.
